I love working outside. Creating new space. Cleaning up the old and transforming it into something beautiful to look at. Sometimes it takes an afternoon. Sometimes it takes weeks, months or years. But I love the transition. I feel good when something gets cleaned up and starts making the surrounding area look better.

Today I trimmed our pepper trees that were ridiculously out of control. Jason helped me clear everything and tomorrow he’s going to mow the grass under the trees. We are going to start the sprinkler system this week so while we’re gone on vacation plants will be watered and not die. When we get back we will just have to trim, cut and mow…. and plant some more!

I’m grateful that we have 10 acres of beautiful land that is begging to look more beautiful – and it can and will!
