Darren and I lived with Amanda for a year in Sunnyvale. While we lived there we discovered a great little Mediterranean restaurant called Dish Dash. We ate there often. I can’t remember for what occasion it was given to us, either birthday or Christmas, but Amanda and our mutual friend Danni gave us a gift card to Dish Dash. We set it aside for a special occasion . . . Then forgot where we placed it!
A few days ago, Darren found the gift card, so this evening we met at Dish Dash for a nice romantic meal together. The funny thing about gift cards is that when you use it you think about the person or persons that gave it to you.
Tonight I’m grateful to be having such a wonderful meal at such an unexpected time with Amanda and Danni with us in spirit! Thank you both for such an intimate gift.
